Learning & Teaching - Foundation
The Learning & Teaching Key Area refers to the ability to integrate ICT into your learning and teaching - Powerful learning enabled by ICT.
This Key Area has particular reference to the Interdisciplinary Strand ICT within VELS.
At the foundation level you are beginning to integrate ICT into your learning & teaching.
To help you reach your ePotential…….why not...
- Review Digital Learning Resources accessed through digiLearn. Ask your school librarian, ICT Co-ordinator or another colleague about how to access the site. Explore and search for resources to support the areas you are working on with students. Think about how you might use these digital resources in your classroom planning.
- Plan a lesson that incorporates ICT, such as: a graphic organiser for visualising thinking, involving students in solving a problem. Ask your students to create an information product such as a PowerPoint presentation as part of a learning activity.
- Identify a student expert or a parent to provide assistance to other students if they need it. Plan a lesson that uses ICT for communicating (such as email or an online discussion), investigating (using internet search engines) and building knowledge.
