This Key Area is concerned with the appropriate, ethical and effective use of ICT in learning and teaching.

- Contribute to or coordinate external communications and the school’s website to ensure that it adheres to your school’s policies, vision, social and ethical values.
- Consider a range of classroom management techniques which allow the students to develop a feeling of comfort and safety, as well as developing autonomy.
- Introduce a Student Mentor approach to allow student peers to oversee how software is used, how hardware is treated etc to support you in maintaining a safe and productive learning environment.
- Information on CyberSafety and learning with the internet is available from Working with the Web. The site includes information and resources related to privacy, copyright and cyberbullying, including advice and contacts.
