Resources - Emergent

The Resources Key Area refers to the use, access, support and promotion of ICT based resources within your classroom and school.

Typically at the emergent level you are starting to utilise and encourage the use of ICT based resources for learning & teaching.

To help reach your epotential.....why not...

  • Manage resources effectively and create project folders/files and download online resources, being careful to virus-check each file.  Plan how you will use these in your lessons.
  • Talk to a colleague and find out about some relevant email forums, threaded discussion groups, educational blogs, online chat or online conferences and think about how you can use these tools in your curriculum planning.
  • Commit to planning lessons in every unit which effectively incorporate ICT tools and new ICT information resources (the Internet, CD-ROMs and software) and encourage your students to use ICT to find more information and to deepen their understanding of concepts and information.
  • Constantly identify useful Internet sites reflecting your classroom focus and encourage your students to access these in class time. Connect provides a range of sites for teachers and students.
