Learning & Teaching - Innovative
The Learning & Teaching Key Area refers to the ability to integrate ICT into your learning and teaching - Powerful learning enabled by ICT.
This Key Area has particular reference to the Interdisciplinary Strand ICT within VELS.
At the Innovative Level you are modelling and supporting the use of ICT to enable powerful learning.
To help you reach your ePotential…….why not...
- Present opportunities for your students to develop effective problem solving, collaboration and communication skills. Facilitate exchanges of student ideas via the Internet by using email, online threaded discussion groups, wikis and educational blogs and encourage collaboration trhough web 2.0 tools or international information exchanges - Connect Web 2.0.
- Involve your students in solving a problem using ICT or creating an information product, or using ICT for communicating, investigating and building knowledge. You could use data processing and logging software or Internet-based projects such using Web 2.0 and research tasks. Your students could access experts via email, online threaded discussions or through web-camera enabled video conferencing.
- Work with your students to manage their files into folders in an appropriate space on your school network, enabling them to efficiently retrieve files when needed and to record evidence of their learning into dynamic and evolving digital portfolios.
