Integrating ICT into Whole-School Curriculum

Courtney Gardens Primary School is located in Cranbourne North and has an enrolment of approximately 790 students. Our school has very high standards and expectations, and is committed to providing the best possible ICT education to our student population to prepare them for the future. The school is equipped with two (2) fully functional Computer Labs and a range of innovative ICT tools to complement teaching and learning.

How has your school successfully integrated ICT into its programs?

The CeLL initiative has provided many opportunities to work collaboratively with other schools while integrating ICT into the whole-school curriculum.

Emerging Technologies Grants focusing on Interactive Whiteboards (SMARTBoards) and iStopMotion have provided a unique opportunity to trial new technologies resulting in great improvements to our whole-school programs.

The Student-Created Daily Television Show at Courtney Gardens Primary School

See the file below, Courtney_ Gardens_ PS_ ceLL, to view the video, Using IT: Behind the Scenes, an inspiring look at the production of the student-created daily television show, The Daily Show, at Courtney Gardens Primary School. Students master the challenging technical aspects of television production and concentrate on the content of the show which includes: daily announcements such as teacher absences, highlighting student work and creating presentations to support other students in their learning. To see how students plan and use ICT  to create digital presentations watch this excellent illustration of student-centred learning.
